There are great differences throughout the world and within countries
themselves in pregnancy outcomes as measured by stillbirth rates,
maternal mortality rates and infant mortality rates. Root causes for
these differences include — but are not limited to — failure to
understand the processes of pregnancy and the post-partum period, the
lack of access to prenatal care centers and maternity centers, and the
unconscious bias and disparities in care of vulnerable populations. It
is the singular goal of Maternl
to address the universal need for all pregnant women and their families
to have immediately available maternal and child healthcare information,
education, and access to prenatal and maternity healthcare centers.

pregnancy, babies, and child health. The information comes from trusted
and respected medical sources, journals, institutions and organizations.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) to share general, evidence-based information
about pregnancy, prenatal care, post partum (after birth) and baby
health. AI also helps you find and be introduced to nearby clinics using
maps and search tools.

Please keep these points in mind:
Maternl is not to be used for medical advice.
The information and responses are general and may not fit your personal health needs.
Maternl does not ask for your name or any personal health details, and does not replace advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a doctor.
You may ask about a symptom you may be feeling or having but the response will be educational and general. There is no dialog between the program and the user and it is not a substitute for a clinician-patient conversation.
No doctor-patient relationship. Using this tool does not make you a patient or create a medical relationship.
